Sponsor Responsibilities:
When a RYLA candidate completes their online application, an email with the candidate’s responses will automatically send by email to the contact for the sponsoring Rotary club or organization named in the application. Some candidates apply without identifying their sponsor. The RYLA District 7980 Committee attempts to identify a willing sponsor for these applicants.
STEP 1: Please confirm your choice to sponsor OR not to sponsor a candidate by directly replying to email notification ASAP. We suggest you interview your candidate(s) and get to know these leaders and their families; they are our future. If confirmed, they will also be representing you and your Rotary club/organization at RYLA.
Candidates are not registered for the RYLA conference until your confirmation email is received by the RYLA District Chairperson. Your confirmation email is necessary to reserve a spot for the candidate within our participant limit.
A maximum of 80 participants are accepted per RYLA conference on a first come, first serve basis. There is no ‘allotted number’ of participants per sponsor. Therefore, your organization may sponsor as many participants as it chooses. Applications will not be accepted after the Friday one week prior to the conference start date.
Preparing Your Payment:
Sponsors pay $350 per confirmed participant. ALL PAYMENTS must be received PRIOR to the conference start date for the participant to attend. Per Rotary District 7980 Foundation rules, payments made after the conference are not permitted.
STEP 2: To pay the sponsorship fee(s), cash or a check made payable to “Rotary District 7980 Foundation” must be submitted. Other forms of payment are not accepted. If paying by check, please record the participant(s) last name(s) in the memo section of your check. “Rotary District 7980 Foundation” is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization
